gwydion* As I wrote this reports were just coming out of Lebanon of fighting in Beirut and Tripoli. This is response to yet another car bombing by the Syrian government. People are demanding the government step down and for an end to Assad's interference in Lebanese affairs.
* South Korean Human Rights Activists, many of the North Korean defectors, had planned a balloon protest for today, but North Korea threatened to fire on the protesters and moved artillery into position, so the protesters backed down.
* Remember that cholera outbreak that UN peacekeepers brought to Haiti? It's now killed more than 7000 people.
* Mitt Romney insists that despite any lack of correlation between single parenting and gun homicide, marriage will magically solve our gun problem, not sane and sensible gun control laws, which he opposes.
