gwydion* The YouTube Video riots in Pakistan have been particular large, with some rioting yesterday, though mostly peaceful. The religious leaders came out to call for peaceful demonstrations, which seemed to help. Fingers crossed.
* Remember the South African Platinum mine strike? The original one has been settled and the workers are back in the pits, but the unrest has spread with people in other mines now demanding pay parity with workers in the first mine. They are doing one of the most difficult and dangerous jobs in the world and want enough money to buy a good education for their children. I wish them well.

* Still icky. Still not accomplishing much. The Beasties are mostly done playing in the paper snakes, and have moved on to mostly mesting in there, which is fine with me. My feeling is, they are a special treat whether for playing or for napping, and napping is a valid use.
* What am I reading? I'm tearing through Ashes of Honor, the latest October Daye. Delectable!
