Sep. 15th, 2012 05:25 am* The Embassy attacks continue to spread to more countries and they are now attacking the embassies of other countries. We are deploying extra marines to protect embassies in three countries. Libya has arrested four people in the murder of the Ambassador, the IT tech, and the two Seals. We are sending some FBI agents to help with continuing investigations.
* So with riots raging in twelve countries, Mitt Romney decided that it would be better for him politically if the President snubbed Israel. After all, what better time to stir up trouble in the Middle east than when there's already trouble in the Middle east? So he made up the lie that the President refused a request by Netanyahu to meet in New York, despite the Israelis having never made such a request and the two men not being scheduled to be there at the same time. After all, why tell the truth when a lie might harm US foreign policy and thereby weaken the President? He's also claiming that the attack by Al Qaeda on the Consulate in Libya wouldn't have happened based on zero evidence. I would argue the contrary. Mitt Romney's only trip to the region involved trying to start a war between Israel and Iran and making extremely racist comments about Palestinians. I am confused as to how making racist comments and trying to start wars would help prevent anti-American riots or prevent an Al Qaeda attack on a friendly country. Luckily, Mitt Romney always has a lie to hand. Sigh.
* Rachel Maddow debunks nonsensical Romney campaign claims that there would be no demonstrations if Mitt Romney was President because of his "resolve":
* Meanwhile, Paul Ryan thought the best thing to do in the midst of this crisis was to speak at an event featuring the guy who started and is championing the idea that Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration fixed the Egyptian election in favour of the Muslim Brotherhood even though that's illogical and it was against our national interest and that because he has a fantasy that our government is full of Islamist moles, various innocent people like Anthony Weiner's long suffering wife should be hounded out of government on the grounds that all Muslims are terrorists. After all, what better time to stir up Anti-US feeling in Egypt while generally stoking Islamaphobia than in the middle of a major crisis in the Middle East centered on Egypt? What would the adults in the room do according to Republicans? Pour gasoline on the flames because who cares if we damage US foreign policy and national interests if it can win an election.
* A Prosecutor decides to go after a teenaged rape survivor and give the unrepentant rapists a slap on the wrist. After all, who deserves more jail time the rape survivor for outing her rapists or the guys who filmed themselves raping her? Obviously the girl who was raped according to the prosecutor. After all people knowing the guys raped her has ruined the boys lives and the girl wasn't really raped, but is delusional. After all, who are you going to believe the boy's confessions and the footage of the rape, or the Prosecutor? The Prosecutor, obviously. After all the boys are rich, so there shouldn't really be an any consequences for their actions in a fair system. People like that prosecutor make me all stabby:

Unfortunately, a bunch of muscles in my back went when I foolishly bent over to put soap in the thingie for a run of the dish washer. It was really bad even by my standards, so I broke out the good meds again. Hector is still doing one of his extended howling inconsolably because he's hungry but refusing to eat. Extra points for doing it on a day I'm in horrible pain just sitting up and walking is challenging.
