gwydion* People are now protesting the youtube video in Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Morocco, Gaza, Iran, and Casmir (India), along with three other countries along with ongoing protests in Egypt. Many of the protesters have never seen the video and are going on reporting that often talks about the video as if it were a Hollywood blockbuster and not a privately funded youtube video. Others believe it is part of a US government conspiracy involvig zionists and free masons. *facepalm* Protesters against the Youtube video have stormed the US Embassy in Yemen, but were repelled.
* I saw President Mursi’s speech. It was… problematic. He strongly condemned the Youtube video and weakly condemned the murders at the Us embassy.
* The provenance of the Youtube video is turning out to be weird. Apparently the dialog the actors said was different from that on the video, anti-Islamic words being put into their mouths without the consent or knowledge of the actors who thought they were making a movie about life 2000 years ago. The guy claiming to be the director was a hoax. They think they've found the actual director in California. The claims that it was funded by Jews appear to have been a lie designed to further inflame violence in the Middle east and North Africa. There is now serious worry for the safety of Copts in Egypt.
