* New Bush Era torture allegations:
* There's a hanta virus outbreak in California with three dead, eight total sick, and thousands exposed. Hanta virus is no joke, being a hemorrhagic like Dengue, ebola, or plague. The danger is breathing in the droppings of infected rodents. It starts out looking like flu with muscle aches, the lungs fill with gunk and it's a slow, suffocating death. It's got an incubation period, so if you were in Yosemite recently, go to the doctor as soon as you start feeling sick, as early treatment can really help with survival chances.

* Colbert's take on the final day of the DNC:
* FOX "News" Hypocricy in coverage of RNC vs DNC:
* My throat is really soar from the inoculation. (It's like having a much weaker version of pneumonia, with headache, muscle ache, sore throat, cough, muscle ache, exhaustion, and all around crappy. It is still way better than ending up like my mother cracking a rib twice a year from the coughing and having to live permanently on antibiotics and losing my hearing as a result. this is temporary. Endemic pneumonia is not. Better to get the inoculation while my immune system can support it.) That raspberry pomegranate sorbet is ridiculously prefect for my sore throat, cold and tart and delicious, soothing as it slides down my ravaged throat. Heaven. Only being me, I can't handle more than a few spoonfuls in a given night. The sensation is so glorious, it's heartbreaking that I have to stop. I think my lungs are improving, but the headache and tired were crippling today, as in, I just kept having to lie down and stay still with my eyes closed. I ended up breaking out the serious paon killers because it just wasn't working any other way.
