gwydion* South African authorities have released those miners charged with the murder of the miners the police shot. It's provisional, not fixed.
* The UN is sending in a new negotiator to Syria. A government airstrike on Aleppo has killed at least 25 people including women and children.

* Thanks to Tibicina for buying some of my oils. I mailed them out today, did grocery shopping, and hit the fish store for entirely unromantic things like a replacement pump, spare tubing, potassium, etc.. I did a whole bunch of tank maintenance, put dishes away, and sorted out the nice new desk we got for free along with much needed dishes from the big free complex garage sale. I now have space for my accounts and Hector can stand behind the laptop, stick his head over the top and howl directly into my face. This last is more a boon for him than for me. I need to find out if this configuration works for the other three as far as pettins go. The first one I tried did not work for Mache. (Update: Mache and Hector have both picked new spots. The Butt and LM did some investigating but didn't get to pick spots what with the Senior Beasties hogging all the best ones.) I have a big to do list for tomorrow as well.
