gwydion* The top advisers that were killed in the explosion in Damascus are the Defense minister, his Deputy, and a senior aid. No one has seen Assad in a week and it is unknown if he was in the room. There are roomers he's in a different city, but no confirmed sightings. There are also umors he's wounded, though no proof one way or another. The fighting in Damascus is hottest around government buildings, particularly cabinet offices. Military defections continue at lower levels to the rebels or to Turkey. The UN observers are pulling out.
