* I just saw a political attack add that morphed a Washington candidate into Mitt Romney. My immediate response was, "That's cold." Mitt Romney is now an insult in my state. O.o

* I haven't gotten back to the big packet of paperwork, although I've gathered more supporting documents. Hector is convinced that the document pile was assembled entirely for his benefit as a napping spot. The Butt is still making occasional attempts to mate with the girls despite all four cats being fixed. He is getting his ass kicked hard as a result. Other than that, they are calming down to the normal level of squabbling and cuddling, something for which I am grateful.

Today I got a call summoning me to Seattle on the 6th for medical stuff. August is already looking very expensive. *facepalm* I need to do bills and calculate how to manage the extra medical and travel fees in as well as car insurance payments. I am eating my IRA fast. What I really need is probate to finish.

I've seen a variety of snakes that size at the Philadelphia zoo. (They had several species in a big Amazon tank for ones large enough to eat goats). Like I said, I'm not phobic and I love the feel of the small ones when I touch them, but I can't imagine wanting one of the big ones wrapped around me like that. It's just begging for an accident.

I never blame the animals in these situations. The snake is just being a snake. (Chris Rock once said, "Tiger didn't go crazy; the tiger went tiger!) I guess that whenever I see someone being cavalier with a wild animal it makes me want to smack them upside the head. There's a reason Canadian news routinely reports bear maulings and moose attacks. People get hurt or killed when they forget wild animals are wild.

Anyway, I assume the guy survived or they wouldn't have sent the before picture to that particular site. I'm just saying, a snake that big belongs in the wild or failing that, a zoo.

Every time I see one of those maps of bad things colour coded by state, I am pleased to see, we're almost always one of the better states.

Long time, no see. How are you doing?
