gwydion* The Syrians have shot down a second Turkish airplane. It looks to me like they want a war with Turkey. This on top of them shooting across the border into Turkey to murder unarmed refugees a while back. There is a NATO meeting tonight, Turkey being a NATO member. Turkey has said they don't want war, but if this continues... Yeah. People are waiting to see if they invoke the mutual defense clause.
* The last known Pinta Tortoise has died, though they are checking a tortoise at the Prague zoo in the hopes he might be the true last one. Either way, this is it for the species.

* Mitt Romney wants you to know that Arizona is a model for the nation on Immigration policy. I guess this means stopping anyone who isn't white to demand proof of citizenship on a national level if wins in the fall.
