* What little resistance there was in Homs is collapsing as there are so few left to resist or report. They have four Doctors total, including a Dentist and a veterinarian. The Assad regime is targeting convoys of wounded civilians being evacuated. It is feared the plan is to simply kill everyone in the city so as to prevent any survivors living to testify.

* Official tornado death toll was 13 as of this writing. There is a tornado watch on for parts of the South including Mississippi.

* No, FOX "News," Democrats are not "scared of Romney."

* Vote break down on the Blunt/Rubio Amendment: Democrats voting to require permission from employers for employees to get specific health care: Sens. Bob Casey (Pa.), Joe Manchin (W.Va.) and Ben Nelson (Neb.). These clowns need to go. Retiring moderate Republican Olympia Snowe had the courage to buck party leadership and protect employee rights to make their own health care decisions. Everyone else went along party lines.

* Rush Limbaugh yesterday claimed all women who aren't paying full price for birth control are prostitutes. This is fucked up on so many levels. (There is nothing wrong with being a sex worker. Being sexually active doesn't automatically make one a sex worker. Shaming people for consensual sex is wrong. Mr. Limbaugh himself has been sexually active since at least 1979 with no children, so has presumably used birth control of some form unless he's sterile. A national figure picking on a college student repeatedly and viciously in a national forum is a Goliath vs. David bullying situation. Ms. Fluke wanted to testify that there are more uses for the pill such as treatment for ovarian cysts. And on and on and on). Today, he demanded the young college student he's been trying to shame on a national level for wanting insurance coverage should post videos of herself having sex on line. It's pretty fucking vile even my Limbaugh standards. It's also seriously creepy.

* I likely wasn't clear yesterday, but the Washington state Democratic Caucus is April 15th, and they do want folks to show up to show support and enthusiasm for the President. The Caucus this Saturday is for the Republican nominee. Registered voters can pick which they want to go to.

* I'm still behind on lj, so this north Korea news discussion is from the 26th: http://greenwick.livejournal.com/91488.html

* The errands needing doing today got done, though I didn't do the taxes. I even autoclaved the tank that belonged to the weaker beta, and started sterilizing the tank. Still not much sleep, alas. Insomnia plus difficulty staying asleep. I really ought to forage tomorrow, but I may opt for sleep if I can actually stay asleep.

* Heartbreaking: http://lettersfromtitan.tumblr.com/post/18562131663/thedailywhat-end-of-an-era-of-the-day-as-of

* I really really really want an Akata Witch sequel.

* Damn it, I think I can't do iron dominant/temple incense fragrances anymore. Good bye Iron Phoenix, Ingenok Jewlers, and the Lovely Workshop of Filthy Creation.

* Bwahahaha! http://big-wired.livejournal.com/280014.html
