The Hans Christian Anderson Little Mermaid hands down. It was so powerful and sad an important. It taught me that sometimes wanting isn't enough to make someone love you and that you have to do the right thing even if it kills you. It taught me that love can hurt and that there is a price for things that matter.
I have never forgiven Disney for slapping a happy ending on something that mattered to me this much in it's original form.
