* Mache: I have identified the missing claw as the pinky on the injured paw. She perked up round dawn this morning, hit the litter and did a short patrol with rests 'round the living room. This evening, she's still limping and in pain, but is putting weight on it. Her behavior is more normal, though she is understandably more sedentary than average. The other three abruptly started back to normal behavior patterns after her patrol, so they clearly think she's on the mend. I spent too days weeping, scared it was serious. I'm still concerned, but she's a tough little thing.
I'm going to watch to see if there's any sign of infection. The worry is it's an abscess, not an injury. If she stops improving and gets worse, or the area gets hot, I'll take her in.
* Note to self: always check to make sure that's parsley and not dill, when doing seasoning.
