* I've heard about the Moscow protests, but not enough to say anything intelligent.

* The Police found the first two accusers in the Syracuse/Bernie Fine child rape scandal are credible, but the statute of limitations has run out. It looks like there is an extra witness who was under age at the time with corroborating evidence. The third accuser was found not credible. Much depends on if more survivors emerge.

I am disgusted my attempts to conflate pedophilia with homosexuality. It's not the same and this bullshit isn't helping.

* Speaking of people who can't tell the difference between to consenting adult men having sex and child rape, I see Rick "frothy residue" Santorum is still out peddling his anti-gay poison. Rick Perry's also got a new anti-gay ad that pretends there is a war on Christmas despite that being complete bullshit, amoung other things. He's also lying about the President on top of it all, despite plenty of easily accessed proof to the contrary. Sigh.

* Newt Gingrich is not only in favour of taking kids out of school to be cheap labour, but also for abolishing food stamps. After all, it's in the county's best ignorance for children, the poor, and the elderly to starve literally to death.

* As the major cities increasingly break up the protests in parks, the financial protests are increasingly moving to 1. Storming corporate offices, lobbyists, etc.. and 2. Protesting foreclosures using tactics right out of the Great Depression play book. As much as I think criminal enterprises such as Bank of America are real villains for illegally stealing houses to which they are not entitled through rob-signing, I am uncomfortable with the storming the building tactic. I've seen things like that turn to riots and violence and think peaceful protest is our only hope. So I sympathize, but think it's a bad idea. On the other hand, I am fascinated to see how this foreclosure resistance works out. I can't tell what the outcome will be. I'm not being ingenuous or sarcastic here. I know how it played out in my Grand mother's time. I have no idea how it will play out in the world of 2011-2012.

* Harry Morgan, the beloved actor who is best known for playing Sherman T. Potter on MASH, has passed away. Given his age (96), it's not a huge surprise, but it's still terribly sad. His familiar face and voice were part of my childhood, and I'm betting I'm not the only one of you who grew up watching him.

* We put the main computer together, but it turns out we are short two key pieces. *facepalm* It means we can't run both at once, or Squirrel's computer off my wireless. Sigh. It could be solved easily if I had any money at all, just like the mess in the kitchen could be solved by a 15.00 spice rack.

I moved a bunch of things around today. It was more a matter of making room than true unpacking. The results are not dramatic or obvious, but it improves the livability of the apartment. Three out of four cats worked together to obstruct at all turns.

I am so fucking tired of moving. We're three and a half months in. I haven't seen a movie since July or August. Outside of Orycon, some hanging out with Greenwick, and dinner with Tanya, I haven't done anything fun in ages. I am tired of constant crisis and clutter, of not being able to find things. I want this to be over, damnit.

"If true, this is extremely important. Not just because of the subject matter but because its important to understand that our access to news and INFORMATION may increasingly be funneled through large companies like Apple, Facebook, Google and Amazon, who have hidden agendas, policies or biases we don’t know about. I keep saying that lawsuits are one of the fastest ways to change school culture. I'm so proud of these kids.

The war on Christmas is going unusually bad if the decorations and sentiments are going up on Halloween.
