Aug. 8th, 2011 12:25 am* I just realized the charming Ennis Esmer, who plays Oz Bey on The Listener is the polygraph dude on covert Affairs. No wonder I thought he looked familiar. i feel so much better when I pin these things down. It was the same thing when I figured out Annie's sister was also Amber from House. (I knew she was familiar and wasn't Becky from Rosanne, even though she is similar). It took me three episodes to figure that one out.
* This weekend I got to try both spotted dick and treacle. I was underwhelmed. They were both edible, with the treacle slightly more appealing, but nothing i want to try again. it least it wasn't marmite. ;)
* I have lost three tetras over the course of the last week for no apparent reason. none of them look sick. They were all fine when I turned off their light. In the morning, I keep finding one dead.
* Straight Pride Day?: http://www.sparkindarkness.com/2011/08/straight-pride-day.html
* Flipping through the programing guide, I misread Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves as Robin hood: Prince of Tides, which would be a very different movie indeed. O.o
* I finally found something to say about Miracle Day: I'm still watching, but I don't really have much to say. There are problems with the plot. There were problems with CoE's plot too, but there was an emotional intensity that bridged a lot of the flaws. Miracle Day lacks that intensity. I'm not sure they'll be able to reproduce that impact, so I think they rather need better plotting. It doesn't mean I'll quit watching as long as they have Jack, but it means I don't connect with the material the same way.
