gwydion* Mom's going to see if she can scrape together a Mache emergency fund in the next couple of days in case things get worse. I'll let y'all know if she needs more treatment/tests and if we'll need more funds. Thanks again to cat rescuing internet heroes.
* Between the meds and the IV fluids, Mache's clearly doing better. She's in less pain, the fever is lower, and she's been eating small amounts of soft food between naps. She still smells sick, but she's walking better. The cats have been taking turns guarding her, even LM, who is not normally fond of her. They seemed to have called a general truce, probably because the whole thing has been upsetting to them too.
* I think the tow truck guy deserves hero points for moving us up in the queue and putting up with the way we were smelling instead of dumping up in the street.
* They have found a doctor to replace the murdered doctor Tiller. A local Wichita judge has blocked them from reopening on the grounds that being a victim or potential victim of violent crime constitutes a public nuisance. They are trying to raise funds to move/reopen. I'm simply not up to looking up how you can help links just now.
* They have buried the murdered Mr. Kato. Apparently, I missed it with all the other stuff going on.
* An Egyptian reporter died of his gun shot wounds today. The arrests and beatings of reporters of all nationalities continue. I keep mentioning the all nationalities bit as some sources are incorrectly claiming that they are targeting Westerners. They are not; they are trying to stop news and images getting out and the race or religion of the reporters doesn't matter.
* Supernatural: In retrospect, it is fascinating that Death has it's own agenda. It turns out I was really missing Sam with a soul. Who knew. I am so with Bobby on the truth thing. As a result, I spent most of the episode wanting to smack Dean upside the head. I loved the use of Castiel here. so perfect from a castiwel design and a sam design perspective.

There's a chance many of these are false positives, but still exciting.
* I apologize for the half assed nature of this post in general. I've had almost no sleep and I feel like I've been run over or beaten with sticks, and my ability to concentrate is shot.
* I wish the Ed Show would just go away. Can't they find a reputable journalist to fill that hour?
