gwydion: (Whatchyou talkin abou?)
[personal profile] gwydion
* Justice Scalia met with the Tea Party caucus in a secret meeting. Ironically on the topic of separation of the branches of our government.

* They have given Mr. Olberman's time slot to Laurence O'Donnell. I'm not sure3 how i feel about that yet, but his comments on Mr. Olbermann were very gracious. Ms. Maddow's remarks about Mr. Olbermann tonight were charming as well. It was also nice of her to say her show wasn't going anywhere and there were no plans to change how she's covering the news.

* I think it is bizarre they are already analyzing a state of the Union Address that hasn't happened yet.

* I really ought to ebay some BPALs for financial reasons, but my potential offerings aren't exciting enough, I think. Best to wait until further from the Lupercalia drop for bidding reasons anyway.

* I carried Hector's familiar weight on my hip right into my dreams. He's a bit better tonight, though still coming down from his rough patch. It amazes me how much better his quality of life is with the anxiety meds, poor thing.

* Republicans are now floating bills to interfere with private insurance from covering abortions, by denying anyone purchase such a policy from receiving the same tax breaks as everyone else gets. After all, punishing women for having sex is way more important than jobs in the current crisis, right?

* Today, I spent money I didn't have on gas, because no way was I making it to the dentist tomorrow without a little something extra in the tank. I am fascinated to see how I will pay for the dentist tomorrow as I have five dollars and they'll be wanting 40.

* Anderson Cooper did another follow up on Mr. Shirvel's stalking of that poor gay college student. The state investigation's report has come out with a whole list of malfeasance Mr. Shirvel did while in office. He's also got arrests from Drunk driving and spitting on people (separate incidents). Do to his threatening and out of control behavior, legal secretaries at the attorney General's office put in writing how alarmed they were by his unprofessional behavior. Yet Attorney general Cox claimed there had been no previous incidents and Mr. Shirvel's behavior was not interfering with his work, which was supposedly excellent. So, Mr. cox, lying or incompetent? Either he knew this was going on in his office or he was doing such a crappy job as a boss, that he didn't know people were physically threatened by Mr. Shirvel and that he was running around the office screaming insults and threatening people.

Side note: Why does Mr. Shirvel still have a license to practice law in the state of Michigan?
