* Up until this week Susan B. Koman for the Cure was a non-partisan organization fighting cancer. Now that they are an anti-choice Republican organization that puts partisan goals above fighting cancer, a large number of key members are resigning. Good! It is also heart warming to see all the folks stepping up to replace the money Susan B. Colman is withdrawing from Planned Parenthood.

* I've been giving Koman the side eye for years over them suing other charities over the phrase "for the cure," the high executive salaries, and them lobbying against women's health. It looks like I'm not the only one. "Behind the Pink Curtain - Komen's Political Agenda:" http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/02/01/1060885/-Behind-the-Pink-Curtain-Komens-Political-Agenda

* Israel is threatening to bomb Iran, as it is thought they will have nukes in a year or two. We are discouraging them publicly. Remember the rash of Iranian nuclear scients getting assassinated? There is speculation that there is a connection. I don't see a good outcome whatever we or the Isrealis do or don't do.

* Marriage Equality passed the Washington state Senate. Now on to the House!

* Today was even worse than I expected. Construction started outside of my window at 8:50AM. It not only involved hammering and dropping heavy things from a great height, but yelling between floors at the top of their lungs, and banging on my bedroom windrow repeatedly, as they are storing lumber literally under my bedroom window. I also had six phone calls, only one of them containing any content I needed between 9AM and 12:15 when I gave up all hope of sleep. Of course having strangers ram or window with lumber, etc., freaked the cats out, so they got shit for sleep too. Hector had been pretty stable the last couple weeks, but he's back to being a bit of a basket case. I've decided to dole out goosh every night for the duration of the siege, as it helps Hector to calm down enough to sleep, and is good for feline morale just generally

I slept in my clothes, as a workman was expected between 1-4, and even though they are often late, now and then one shows up early. This turned out to be the case, so pants were definitely a good choice. I left him and greenwick in possession and started the long three bus trek North. I hit my appointment on time, but they were behind. Of course, so I was there an hour and a half, which made me miss my bus, which meant an extra 15-20 minute speed gimp on top of the long gimp to the store. I was barely able to walk and ready to weep from the pain my the time I reached the store. I ended up using the riding cart, which I hate. It's not only humiliating and steers like a tank, but snail slow. I hate being slow and in the way. It makes me feel like their ought to be vultures circling. Then there was a drama at check out, which I also hate, though the ladies behind me were nice about it. Then there was the long, painful gimp to the bus stop with almost more than I can carry, my legs randomly collapsing, and using tomorrows spoons. The another hour+ of bus and the scary gimp down a steep hill on uneven ground, with a bag I had to keep setting down, a heavy backpack, and a full messenger bag.

Car thieves need to die in fire.
