Jan. 12th, 2012 12:33 am* The first Western journalist was murdered today along with a couple of dozen unarmed Syrians in a mortar attack on Homs. They were airing his last outage on the news tonight along with another journalist's film of the dead man's girlfriend rushing over to the car where they moved his body. The Syrian government has only just started letting outside journalists in, and there are very few in country. Journalists are important as up until, all there his been is smuggled footage and government lies. Outside observers means more attention to the government murder of Syrian citizens.
* South Carolina is the next Primary. The Republican electorate there is fairly pragmatic historically.
* Stephen Colbert, despite not running this year is out polling John Hunstman in South Carolina. Go Colbert!
* I've put the imps to test aside, along with more unpacking until I finish thins thing I promised to do months ago and forgot. It's going well and enjoyably, but I really want to respond thoughtfully, which makes it go slower than it would if I were doing this on my own time.
The Hall still isn't dry, but has been holding steady at two to three towels a day. There can't possibly be this much water if it's not leaking from somewhere can there? I think I've sorted out a long hall solution to the electrical configuration if I'm going to be having fans running there all day every day, but that's a lot of money to be burning on the power bill.
