gwydion* Over the weekend, police herded 700 protesters onto a bridge and then arrested about 700. Along with an influx of celebrities, there was a nobel laureate in economics. I was charmed by the footage of "corporate zombies." They are pulling a lot of union support and demonstrators.

* I should probably write more about the EU economic crisis, but I simply haven't the heart or the energy. I think part of why it's so hard to tackle is I simply can't see an answer. The US crisis has solution which we refuse to take, so growling about the stupid and destructive damage we're doing ourselves because Republican ideology trumps reality feels like doing something. I have no clue what would help Europe that doesn't involve a Lamborghini and Marty Mcfly (IE Time Travel, for those to young to know what I'm on about.).
* Romney has come out in favour of a Constitutional Amendment to ban the pill. Rick Perry has threatened to invade Mexico. and used to go to a hunting camp for years with the N-word in the title. Charming. To be fair, there is some question as to when exactly they painted over the rock. (Was it '83 or 6 years ago?) Herman Cain came out against Rick Perry using the n-word hunting camp, so the Right Wing pundits have turned on him as being willing to play the race card. *facepalm* After all, in Republican eyes, calling out racism makes a person a racist. I knew it was bound to happen. Meanwhile, Perry issued a statement saying it was insensitive and that's why his family painted it over. Cain said good enough for him.
* Hank Williams Jr. likened Obama to Hitler on FOX "news." Monday Night Football has pulled his song from there show. Finally, somebody saying this Obama is Hitler crap is not okay.
* Hector howled me awake 15 minutes before the alarm. I used up everything i had between doctor and errands, and was feverish by at least half way through, so completely failed at apartment hunting.
* I had another food I dreamed that I totally wish existed. In the dream there was a big food fair thing in front of a super market with samples and things. There was a featured melon from the Middle east. The exterior was the green of a watermelon, but it was the size and shape of a small cantaloupe. Inside it was pistachio green. it tasted like a richer cross between kiwi and honeydew. It was the "featured melon." Tasty right? But they had also had handmade ice cream pops made with lots of the melon for flavor and dipped in extremely dark chocolate and almond bits. Oh my god! The bitterness of the chocolate with the sweet fruity glory of the ice cream and the roasted crunch of the nuts. Heaven. i think I want these even more than the Goth sodas from a while back.
