I'm glad Tavy's gotten to a napping-on-your-bed stage, even if he is still pretty jumpy. <3

Alas, there has been a set back. He pissed all over the bed and has been in hiding again all day. He prefers hiding in my room, but he's got common area spots too. Right now he's in Hector's least secure hide in my bedroom. he did take one of his toys out to play with while I was sleeping at least.

Oh no! He never did that before. :( I'm glad he's at least sneaking out to play a bit, but I hope he feels better soon.

he peed under my desk during the day too, it looks like. I'm a bit worried. He's really hiding a lot harder than he was.

Erf. I'm worried also. :/ I wonder if the accident stressed him out further? Or if he's having trouble with the new surroundings, or with us and the other cats being gone, or...

Mrf. :/ I hope he's okay. I wish I knew something to do. Poor little guy. (and poor you, for having to deal with the pee...)

It would be easier if we weren't so low on detergent. I split what was left for bedding. The rest must wait.

My real concern is he had been coming out to use litter, explore, and forage while I was awake, and had been picking visible hiding spots where he could watch me, all of which looked like acclimating. After his rather loud accident, he's been picking less visible hiding spots, like Hector's bunker. I'm giving him space, because I can't think of anything I could actively do that wouldn't make it all worse.

I honestly don't think he hurt himself, I think he just really scared himself. squirrel says he hears him thumping about in the kitchen after I go to bed and there are signs of him using the water bowl, eating, moving the larger mouse, etc.....

Oh! He just came out to grab his mouse! We got a good look at each other before he went back inside.

He is crouched right now in front of the least secure of Hector's old hiding spots watching me. I made friendly sounds at him, etc. when we made eye contact and I'm now pretending to ignore him so he can decide what he wants to do. I do not want to scare him back into hiding.

He's just used the litter in the office and I heard him toss the mouse around. I think it's going to be okay.
