How many more of us have to die?! For centuries we were executed - still are in some places. We were tortured and are still being tortured to "cure" us. There are still dozens of countries around the world that are committing genocide against us. It's only become LEGAL for us to exist within living memory. Before the 1960s it was illegal for us even to be alive pretty much everywhere in the world, a worldwide campaign to wipe us out, a campaign fought in every damn country to push us underground and destroy us. That's a genocidal campaign that continued unabated for centuries across a vast chunk of the whole planet. We are disproportionately homeless, suicide victims AND disproportionately targetted for violent hate crimes. We were freaking holocaust victims, for crying out loud. What more has to be done to us?!
I honestly can't begin to describe how enraged this makes me. Fuck patience, we've been dying and hiding for fucking centuries, we're past due.
