Remember to vote in all the races, not just the top of the ticket even if it's in a separate primary (as it is in my state). Who runs congress, your state, and your local government really matters. In some states this is a separate primary. Check the rules for your state.

Never, ever sleep on a chance to vote.

It is always better to vote for someone who will listen to us than to let someone who is actively trying to kill us.

* Saturday physio still gave me the shakes, but it was the first time I made any real progress with the hardest Exercise.

Monday, the car fix was cheaper than expected, but they discovered the power steering is about to Go. I've already paid the housing tax, which ate most of my discretionary funds, and I blew the entire EBT on shelf stable easy to make things for while I'm laid up plus a few perishables and I still need to hit the other store for fresh veg and such.

The car fix is expensive, as there aren't that many places carrying compatible parts for a car this ancient, so the price is like twice what it would have been a decade ago. I made the appointment for mid-April, when I hope to be allowed to drive as it takes two of us to drop off and pick up the car. The hope is it can survive another week, as I shan't be allowed to drive for any of March past the 12th.

Sigh. Being Poor is so damned expensive.

I have decided not to worry about it now. Getting through March is going to be hard enough given the surgery stuff. If worse comes to worst I'll just not pay anything but housing next month.

On the up side, the completely immobilized arm for two weeks turns out to have been for the rather extreme and complex surgery we though i was going to need. I am getting the medium surgery instead, so I'll be able to move it a little. It won't be good for much, but can move it a little will be a bit easier than not at all.

I am still stressed out about trips to the toilet and the like, trying to manage one handed without practice. I know lots of people manage fine with one or no arms. I once had a lover who only had one part of one arm and he was the most graceful man I've ever seen including professional dancers. I have no practice though, and I'm not going to be in great shape the first few days.
