* I was asked what the term "androphilic" means, and I thought the one asking might not be the only one wondering, so I'm publicly posting my answer.

Androphilic means I am exclusively attracted to men sexually and romantically. Like gynophilic (exclusive attraction to women), it is a term that does not assume the gender of the person feeling the attraction. Terms like Gay, straight, lesbian require a binary statement about the gender of the person feeling the attraction, so none of those fit. Terms like Bisexual and pansexual don’t require the person feeling the attraction to be binary. Some of us needed a term for attraction to a single gender while being non-binary ourselves, so we adopted one that suited.
