* It took me so long to wrap up Friday morning, that it only made sense to stay up to forage. Despite being an hour and 20 mins before open when I arrived all the parking even vaguely close was taken. I just missed a seat on the bench too, so I spent it on cold concrete in rising winds, shivering under the emergency blanket. It was worth it as even though I only got three bags worth, they were a good set of things we actually need. Unfortunately, by the time I actually made it to the standing up part my right hip and the depending leg were failing. I had to be a little rougher about snagging things quick in the gaps than I like to be and still barely made it home in time. I barely got things away and ready for bed before everything below the really bad spot on my spine went, and the awkward hobbling about on my crutches with legs barely under control unnerved the cats. It is very useful when my legs give warning like that, much better than going to stand and discovering they aren't weight bearing.

LM spent her first full day with open door since Tavy came to live with us. She is cranky a anything, but she's doing so well. She even gave the sofa a brief try, though she didn't settle in her old spot, just milled a bit and used the cat bridge across my desk. He appetite is so much better and she's just HER again, if that makes sense. Coming for pettins when she likes. Patrolling. Complaining. Waiting patiently in her old feeding spot for her goosh. Stealing toys and hiding them in her room. I am so happy for her. I think she still has a few good years in her yet.

I picked up a friend from work and we got pumpkins! Winco had them for a really good price, so we each got one for his husband to decorate. (His husband is an artist and also really likes decorating them). It was past midnight before everyone was fed and I medicated, so odds are I will not wrap the news tonight. Apologies.
