* Squirrel and I went out on an evening Ex-po-di-tion, to the horror of the cats. (Both of us leaving at once is rare and at that time of night isn't the usual pattern.) When we returned long after dark, I saw too deeply alarmed and anxious little faces peering out the window at me. Livia darted so she could be between me and my bedroom door and still see me enter the patio door so she could work out if squirrel and i were really us and not scary giant doppelgangers. (This is normal. it takes her a while to decide we are really us if one of us has been out. I let her smell my fingers, then leave her alone until she's Deciided I'm me. When it's just Squirrel coming home she looks to me for identity verification).

Tavy was so happy to see us. i think they thought we were Missing or perhaps Squirrel had taken me to the vet again. (They have been very aware of how bad my health has been since late Winter and i think they see squirrel take me away sick and then i come back smelling like hospital = trip to the vet in their minds.) Most of the time we've left together at odds times has been medical stuff lately. Tavy was super clingy and once Livia calmed down she was her lower key version of the same.
