* I went out to forage and got meds and library on the way back. When I turned home, I saw billowing smoke coming counter intuitively off the Bay to choke Downtown. My guess was something big was burning Fairhaven way, which looked likely as I followed the road that traces the shore on the way home. At the most concentrated place, the cloud was all wood smoke. The Internet tells me nothing useful though. My lungs are not happy, but there is nothing to be done. The amount of smok is really concerning; I hope any people and animals are okay.

I did pick up meds and library books, but was yet again to tired to do the loop to get my tires prophylactically filled. Again. I did not recapture our parking though I caught someone else's disabled spot. (I feel like a dick for doing it, but I've nearly been hit twice since Tuesday and my legs are still extra fucked from the Incident. I'll give it back Sunday, but I need it close given all the stuff I need to carry to it for the party, which i hard to do one handed with uncertain, stiff, and achey legs), I think the person who won ours from me Tuesday is badly injured. They have a temp tag and they clearly aren't leaving for work or the like.

* I voted today! Early voting has started in a lot of places as has mail in where I live. Please, please, please vote early if you can. Remember to check ID requirements if you live in a voter suppression state, but go! Vote! Vote on every ballot measure and in every race. Here is Washington State we have a ton of judiciary positions up and they are important! When in doubt, check endorsements, as that will help you figure out who stands for hat. In Judiciary type races, it is best to take a defense attorney over a prosecutor. When only prosecutors are on offer look for endorsements, mention of mental health and drug diversion, and connections to organizations like Law advocates that help the poor pro bono. Having people who share your values in state and local offices makes a massive difference in your quality of life and the welfare of the community you live in. Don't let the Republicans eat our lunch on these smaller races like they usually do. Fight back with your ballot!
