* Re: The Putin New Nukes thing? I am old enough to remember the announcement of the Star Wars missile defense system under Ronald Reagan. It's 2018 and it still doesn't work anything close to the way it was claimed it would. (Yes, they do have missiles that theoretically can shoot down missiles, but the success rte on it is extremely low and not something I'd bet my life on). A theoretical future weapon introduced with recycled graphics by Putin looks a lot like Cold War posturing to me, likely designed for the extremely credulous, perhaps 45, who is so ignorant he thinks the missile defense system on the Korean border will really be able to save Seoul if he starts a nuclear war with North Korea for fun and/or ratings. Just saying. I have no special insider knowledge, but my advice is it's far too soon to panic on this one.

Tavy is enough recovered from his cold to be picking fights, including on the computer. Livia is ill enough that she is only eating normal size portions for a cat instead of kaiju portions and has sneezing fits, which seem to distress tavy more than they do her. No sign of fever. She’s well enough to play tag, hunt bugs, and beat up the busy box for treats. I have hopes it won’t hit her as hard as it did him. Likely I’ll know tomorrow how bad she will get it.
