* Want impeachment? Best to pressure your Congress Critters (Both parties). The 25th Amendment is not designed for this situation, and significantly harder than Impeachment. This fits beautifully the "high crimes and misdemeanors" rubric. For 45 to fit the 25th Amendment we'd need someone to get him to a competent neurologist for a thorough examination and tests and a clear diagnosis with likely second opinions on something absolutely incapacitating, like a massive brain tumor or a debilitating stroke. No way is 45 letting a real doctor get anywhere near him as can be seen from events during the election; it's unlikely that something measurable on that scale would be found even if he did get a proper exam; and it is wildly unlikely that his entire cabinet would turn on him at once and every Republican in the Senate and house suddenly grow both spines and develop patriotism. If the spines and patriotism thing were likely to happen, Impeachment would be faster and easier than the 25th Amendment route. Just saying. Remember, Reagan started showing Alzheimer's symptoms well before they decided to run him, and they let him have access to the button for 8 years even as he noticeably deteriorated. Nothing short of a major stroke or similar is going to even have a prayer of succeeding and I'd not hold my breath even then. 25th amendment is designed to be incredibly hard to invoke for a reason, so don't pin your hopes on it. Best to pressure your critters relentlessly instead and that's still not all that likely until the investigations conclude, and maybe not then as Republicans have been crystal clear on party before country.
