Feb. 4th, 2016 12:27 am* I do not see how them claiming they are inflicting the same human rights abuse on their citizens is a defense. How about not doing this terrible thing to anyone? * Mike Huckabee has dropped out of the race. I’d forgotten he was in. O'Malley and Rand Paul are also out of the race. Even though Paul is not doing that badly, I am not all that surprised given his no fucks appearance on Wilmore, the bribery case, and the Senate seat situation. Rick "frothy Residue" Santorum has dropped out, being half a million in debt and is now supporting Rubio. Remember how I said a bunch of weaker candidates would be dropping out this week? That makes four.

* I admit, when I first heard Trump claiming Ted Cruz had his people lie that Ben Carson had dropped out during the caucuses in hopes of stealing their votes was a sour grapes lie, but no, the Cruz campaign did this terrible thing and their are emails to prove it. Does that count as election fraud or is it just assholery? Inquiring minds want to know.

* Hector's been on a fish kick recently, as in ate a month and a half worth of fish in a month. I thought yesterday's state of meltdown was because all we had were poultry and liver based goosh flavours. (These are flavours he usually likes). He's bad at change and I thought the not having bedtime tuna was why he was escalating. I was wrong, because I got tuna today and he's still escalating. I think it's one of his psychiatric incidents, which have been mostly not a thing since he started having strokes. Poor wee beastie.
* It's come up recently, so I ought to write it up. No, I'm not watching Shannara. I tried, really I did. Look, the show was better than the book, which even as a teen who read everything could not finish because it was so badly written. The show is better than that. Sure, the effects are cheesy, but given a TV budget, it was acceptable. I did not trust or like their racial agenda, but that wasn't the deciding factor. No, it was the acting. Not all of the acting, mind, but the guy they had playing the half elf was Episode I Anakin bad. Seriously? They couldn't find a single good looking male actor in their age and price range in the whole country? Really? He was so bad that it looked like he was not only reading from cue cards but had also forgotten his contact lenses. He was so bad he reminded me of the Cary Mulligan sketch on... I'm thinking it was Colbert during the Gatsby promos, where she pretended they gave her peanut butter to make her mouth move and then had someone else do the voicing like they do with animals. It was so bad I simply couldn't watch. I'm sorry. It was a deal breaker for me.
* I've bailed out of Magicians because it is a molasses slow version of yet another whiny and boring undeserving white male chosen one. Yes, I know the point of the book is the exact opposite, as my friends who loves the books have told me. If they had filmed a deconstruction of that trope I might have watched it, but life is too short for another boring cliche show.
* I didn't even last one episode of Beowulf as it was bad on pretty much every level and edging into triggery.
* I am not best pleased by Mazakeen not having a mask on Lucifer and Lucifer himself being that over the top annoying, so it's on notice.
