* Vikings: I have a half formed Floki thought I'd like to toss up for discussion. I was rewatching season one, while watching three. Aethelston is rejected for sacrifice at Uppsala because he is a Christian and unwilling. Floki Sacrifices him in three because he is a Christian. (Aethelston seemed to accept his matyrdom and that might count as willing). So how does that play into Floki's arc in season three?

I do think this tracks with my idea that Ragnar and Floki are spiritually linked. I think one can not live without the other. Think that the thing the seer said about divided souls applied not just to Aethelstion but to Ragnar and Ragnar/Floki, if that makes sense. I think maybe Ragnar set Floki up to die by giving him so much responsibility as revenge for Aethelston, and that trying to kill your Anima is a really bad idea. I think Ragnar is dying from internal injuries from his fall during the siege, and that you can not have Ragnar without Floki or Floki without Ragnar.

I am now wondering if Floki/Aethelstan is some sort of Anima/Animus situation and that when the two halves of Ragnar's soul turned against each other, all of their luck went bad.

Of course, I could be totally wrong. It's just the series takes all the Gods as seriously as the characters would.
