* The fighting during the "Ceasefire" in Ukraine is particularly deadly to civilians. Putin is refusing to withdraw the regular army units he sent to invade on the grounds that "they are volunteered" and it's not like he can just order his troops to withdraw. he says that instead the Ukrainians should simply surrender. Riiiiight.

* The Oklahoma GOP is trying to abolish AP US History on the grounds that accurately depicting US History in an inclusive way instead of having a narrative that rich white men find comfortable is inherently unpatriotic. After all, things like saying slavery is bad disrespects the Founding Fathers and evidence based Critical Thinking is universally bad. Also, they want to include the Ten Commandments and other Religious indoctrination as otherwise it's biased. Sigh.
