Keep in mind that all those families barred from places like Levittown lost out on the equity building as well as the immediate injustice. Paying higher rates to rent instead of buying has a generational cost.

I am from the Mischief Night Region, and as the study suggests thought it was Mischief Night everywhere literally until I saw the Crow when it was first out and encountered "Devil's Night."

* Wow! Universal background check passed in my State! Rick Larson, whom I above average approve of (He's no Pete DeFazio or Ron Widen, but he's reliable), and who had an ugly fight last time won easily this time. Unfortunately that asshole Erikson beat Mr. Fleetwood, but it couldn't be helped.

* Alas we lost the battle for reasonable class sizes by shockingly few votes, but we get to keep the pot excise tax, which we need.

* Also, the Richmond, California, city elections Chevron spent literally millions to buy miraculously didn't get bought. The folks wanting to hold Chevron responsible for all the people and property destroyed in multiple Chevron caused explosions beat out the people who vowed to meet with Chevron the day after they were elected. This hardly ever happens.

* Congratulations to our neighbors to the south for decriminalizing pot as well as Alaska and DC. Congratulations to Nebraska, Alaska, Arkansas, South Dakota, and San Fransisco for passing a better minimum wage. Congratulations to Colorado and Connecticut for reelecting their brave governors, and to North Dakota and Colorado for keeping birth control legal. Congratulations to Rhode Island for electing their first woman Governor. Congratulations to Kentucky for staying blue enough that Rand Paul can't push through legislation to let him run for president and Senate in the same election.

* And yes, Republicans won enough seats in the Senate to spread the grid lock to the upper chamber. The next two years will be super ugly.
