* At least 43 are dead in Assam in election related violence. The Muslims were gunned down because of how they voted. Amoung the dead are three women and two children. People have fled to relief camps to escape the violence and people are still missing. They were still looking for bodies when last I checked and military forces had been dispatched to restore peace. A whole village was destroyed. People are calling for the deportation of the unarmed victims of the violence.

* The referendum in the bits of Ukraine Russia claims they haven’t invaded went overwhelmingly for self rule, even though the polls are overwhelmingly the other way. The election was administered my Russian partisans and there was not attempt at at non-partisan administration or counting, no transparency, and in many places people voted with often heavy weapons pointed at them. Russia says they “respect the vote.” Everyone else is side eying it.

* Boko Haram is claiming they converted the kidnapped girls to Islam. (I’m guessing forcibly and to their particular radical version, as some of the girls were already Muslim). They are holding them hostage demanding all militant prisoners be freed.

* Afterwards, my head was so full of beautiful decay, quantum entanglements and indeterminacy that I nearly made the rookie mistake of drifting into the wrong bathroom. I was saved by the other door opening, and turned my reach for the handle into a steadying against the wall. I very likely shouldn't have been allowed to drive home with my head so deep under water.

* The transphobic slurs quote post past "Historical Sexism" in the night and was up by about a hundred notes when last I checked.
