Mar. 21st, 2014 07:02 am* I have no words for or sympathy with people who look at the misery of families and friends of the people on Malaysia Flight 370, and think, "Wouldn't it be hilarious if we tortured them even further by faking pictures of survivors floating on wreckage to get their hopes up." Honestly, I can't find invective strong enough for people who would deliberately do that to another human being for entertainment.
That also goes for the people at FOX "News" who reported conspiracy theories they made up to scare people for partisan political reasons as if their imaginings were facts. This is incredibly cruel and even worse than the people with the faked photographs as they are cynically using the victims of a very real tragedy to make money and score points as if the real lives of the people on that plane and the distraught families on land don't matter, as if they aren't human beings deserving of compassion, but rather cardboard props with no hearts or souls. I think I know who the cardboard props with no hearts are in this scenario and it's not the grieving people in China. Fuck you Fox "News!"

* LM was in my bed when I went to do bedtime treats. She'd picked a strategic spot so as to make Hector go the long way around to Mache's old spot, where he likes to sleep. After treats, she let me pet her, then settled in to sleep. She stayed several hours. Voluntarily. With premeditation it looked like. I'm calling it progress.
Today was mostly a rest day. I unpacked and sorted three boxes, did dishes, and unpacked the rest of the first box of Gran's wedding china.
