* Gommert''s Republican "jobs" bill only cuts the capital gains tax. it's so of the opposite of an actual jobs bill really, as padding the savings accounts of the very rich doesn't create jobs, and you get .30 back on every dollar you spend in terms of economic growth. All it will do is increase the deficit without actually addressing the economic crisis, it will do nothing to increase demand. It's like Bush's "No Child Left Behind act" which was designed to punish the school districts with the fewest resources and the populations most in need by taking away even more resources.

I hate these Opposite Day names of bills.

* Correction: the pilot who crashed was 74, not 80 as the early nnews reported. His family was there watching when it happened. All i can think is how horrible for them.

* I got crap for sleep as the phone and hector kept waking me up. Went to see that apartment from yesterday after all. I loved the complex, but the apartment in toto had about as much useable space as my current bedroom. The one opening in October would be more than twice as big, but I'm hoping to be housed by then.
