Feb. 10th, 2011 12:28 am* The pathogen knocked me on my ass last night. I ended up unable to focus my eyes to read from the pain. I took my serious, emergency only drug cocktail and had a really long sleep, interrupted for Mache's last pill. Mache's cold seems to be down from severe to normal for her. She had a nice sleep and pet stretched out on me this afternoon while I read. I have enough cat tapas ingredients to carry her over any intestinal issues from the antibiotics.
* For the record, I know I referenced "super virus" instead of bacteria the other day. This is because "Skippy the Supervirus" from the Nuclear War game has deep personal meaning to me for reasons way to complex to explain. Anyway, I was referencing that, forgetting y'all would have no clue what that's shorthand for.
* I still think that if a commentator went after Michelle Obama for wearing "Communist red," that they must go after Sarah Palin for being Communist too, as she often wears it and claims she "can see Russia from my house." Fair's fair. If this is the new bar, they need to apply it across the board.
* Hangover or not, I think we've all been here: http://hungoverowls.tumblr.com/post/3200030749/im-working-on-it-im-doing-it-making-me-want
* The Republicans are now talking about raising taxes on any health plan that includes abortion. How exactly does this fulfill their stated main goals of creating jobs and lowering taxes. Isn't this the opposite?
* Those of you worried about the clause in the Patriot Act that lets them check you library record. Most libraries immediately changed the way the database stores your records. It only keeps active items. So if the books are in your possession or if you have an open lost claim, it's recorded. What you checked out last year is gone. Better for the Act not to be renewed as it curtails essential liberties in horrible ways, but alert librarians have been exploiting the loopholes for a decade. I can't guarantee your local library does this, but most do.
* Remember, Republicans in the House want you to know that a twelve year old knocked up by her father wasn't really raped.
