* I spent half my remaining gas for the month today. Sigh. Squirrel had a dentist appointment downtown at the rightish time, so I took him and then did library and forage. It was meltingly hot and no air moving from the bay, which is our usual saving grace, and I was short sleeped x2. There were next to no lines and I kept getting the last reasonable parking spot, so that helped, but still I haven't done well in heat since the Incident(s) in the summer of '87. At least my hip is improving. His dentist had tea, so I was at least caffeinated, though my luck being what it is, half ended in my lap. Luckily, it was only half and thus merely uncomfortable instead of scalding. This is really all I can ask for. Tea soaked clothes and back pack made it into the laundry with everything else needing cleaning to make up a load. Forage made it away. I changed a tank and a fly strip, watered plants, harvested another carnation for the little desk vase (the rest are too close to unopened buds to bring inside), and swept the broken glass I discovered on the kitchen floor, luckily found with my eyes and not my feet. I'm guessing Squirrel knocked it while carrying in the groceries and didn't notice. My spoon count remains low, but I'm covering the basics. I'm now officially 90.00 down for this month, though I've no clear idea how. I really, really need to ebay more sacrifices, but I'm still recovering from last week's three days of extreme chronic illness inconvenience and today I keep dropping things like the tea.

I long for Autumn.

* Pose is just so good and real and I keep ugly crying watching it. Add this to Black Sails, and Torchwood for TV shows apparently made for me. I'm not used to television speaking to me like this, giving me characters I can love this way and occasionally even identify with. I suppose this must be what watching media while being a straight white cis male must be like. Damnit, I'm crying again!
