* I am dragging myself through yet another Democratic debate, listening to them talk past each other and repeatedly mess up with virus they are talking about. There is a reason these two were on my do not want list for this primary and this boring mess is only the tip of the iceberg.

Yes, I slightly favor Sanders over Biden, who I've disliked since at least the '80's, but you know what?

I will hold my nose and vote in November for whoever the Party picks. 45 is an existential threat to my life, my rights, Democracy, the country, and the world. I've survived just fine through mediocre presidents before, but there have been three disasterous presidents in my life time and 45 is not only worse than the other two put together, but he's worse than all of the bad presidents in the history of this country combined.

45 needs to go.

Vote blue no matter who and don't forget to vote the whole ballot all the way down to the local positions. We need to beat them at every level if we want to have even a sliver of a chance of turning this whole mess around.

* So today I started the great corner migration, a multi-stage project of moving everything that needs to be in the new corner over there. As of now, I moved the benches back and hung a bunch of art back up. As I suspected the benches don't fit in the ideal pattern, so no new book shelves without a major three person rearrangement project which flat out can't happen until after the pandemic, so I'm setting things up in a pattern that makes sense for the long haul.

I need to get more art out of storage as there is now more room to hang prints. I need to micro adjust some pegs because somethings aren't quite right, but really that's a two person job. I need to sort and migrate all the fish things that belong under the benches out of the various places we shoved them for renovation. I need to set up electricity and return some lamps to hat corner. I need to migrate all the tanks to their new homes. I need to clean the areas where I was storing things up and put things in the closet that need to go there but I've been storing elsewhere because I literally can't access the closet with all the bench stuff piled in front of it. I need to sort out some things in my room that got displaced at the beginning of this and find homes for a bunch of objects I stored that used to be on the altar, but are now wrapped in my linens, which I also need back, plus I need to migrate stuff into drawers on the closet side while I'm at it and move furniture to dust under and, and....

This would be so much easier with help, but the plague, so if I want things done I'm literally the only one to do them. I'm going to be at it a looooong time. Sigh.

In related news, the Gazebo Bird Show is back in full swing and the cats are really excited to have the viewing bench back in front of the window, which was open. Living their best lives.

* Just a reminder: It is absolutely essential you fill out the census form. We need these for things like resource allocation and keeping/increasing seats in congress. There is a reason republicans are trying so hard to scare people away from doing it or trick people with scam fake forms.

The real census will not ask you for your Social security number, immigration status, or for money. Nor will it ask you political questions like the trick forms do. They will ask you for things like your age and race/ethnicity for demographic tracking reasons, but it really is safe to tell them this and we really, really need you to participate.

This is important the way voting is important. If you don't do it, the racists and the oligarchs win.
