* During a government massacre several locations today, one of the heroes that has been filming the murders was killed by a sniper. He was twenty four and clearly a great loss for his country. There was a heartbreaking obituary on CNN, but it didn't seem to be posted yet. I will try to find it later.

* The autodialer is on day three of harassment. (Last night they called several times during the day and every hour from 5-9). It's nearly always ring and hang up. The one time I caught a human, it turned out to be not even for me. Me telling them that didn't stop them calling me at 9 and 10 AM. I'd just managed to get back to sleep after the first one, so it was impossible to get back to sleep after the second, especially with the boys taking turns howling. After all, the last thing I needed was hardly any sleep, so they did that, knowing full fucking well, I'm not the person they are looking for.

If a human person did this is would be harassment. Because it's a corporate "person" there is no stopping them, since the "Do not call list" turns out to only cover me, not calls to other people who don't use my phone, and the rights of corporate "people" always trump the rights of mere human beings.

* Today was terrible. I left the apartment with plenty of time, but ran into the landlord, so I ended up missing the bus by less than a minute, as in, I could see the bus at the stop, but couldn't get across with the traffic in time. (The landlord said they tried to steal two more cars from the lot his week. It's suspected to be a gang of joy riders from the high school rather than a chop shop operation. The question is, will they know that the vintage sewing machine is extremely expensive and hockable, and had Squirrel put it in the trunk or just meant to put it in the trunk). As a result, I had to hike to the other side to catch a 107 toward the end of it's loop. (It was that or spend an hour in the chill wind off the bay waiting for the next 105. It occurs to me those assholes have my handicapped placard too. They deliberately picked a car clearly belonging to an impoverished disabled person instead of one of the nicer more expensive car in the lot. What kind of waste of skin do you have to be to steal from someone you know can't afford it)? The 107 turned out to have a tight connection with the 15. Unfortunately, it's a pretty ugly hike to the office I needed to got to. These distances would have been nothing to me before I got sick, but they are brutal with all the spine and hip damage, especially in this weather. I turned in the stuff needed turning in, except the two I forgot and will have to take them next week. Then the ugly hike back. The attendant suggested a different bus as it cut within two blocks of the library. his was good as I hadn't much leg left by then. Unfortunately, the walk from the library to the bus terminal was about the same amount of walking I'd already done. By this time, I'd just missed nearly all the buses going my way that hour, leaving the same 107 I took going out, so it was the same hike back from the 107, going back with my legs barely working and some pretty impressive pain.

I get to do this all again twice next week.

There was a cute guy my agish in a wheelchair on the last leg. He was wearing a bat man hat and three small queer indicators on his chair and person, so I tried striking up a conversation. He didn't seem interested in me, alas. I really ought to get a button or something for my lapel. It'd likely make these things easier.

* Hector is howling inconsolably because I only hand fed him three times in the twenty minutes since I got home. He just launched himself claws first at my back, as clearly, I'm not in enough pain. As soon as I can steel myself to stand up again, I'm medicating the little asshole.

* Fuck this, I'm breaking out the last of the absinthe as soon as I get it together enough to eat something.

* I caught a replay of the Glee Christmas special, so I took a chance even with limited knowledge of what the hell is going on arc-wise, mostly to see that lovely duet again on a larger. (Luckily, I'd picked up a lot from rm's writing. I have no clue about Sam, but I was okay otherwise.

The only comment I can muster is: That was quite the mix of fabulous and fail all rolled up together. O.o

Damn I'm sorry you had to go through all that. Sometimes life just sucks.

It's been a shitty year. I hope next year is better for both of us.
