I will never forget looking at the demographic figures in the first half of the '90's and realizing my generation would never have any power, but that the Millennials (still labelled the Boomlet) would be able to.

We really are at the tipping point now. If we all hold together we can push past horrible Boomer Politics and into a better future, all of us together: Xer, Millennials, Zoomers.

* Two Weeks Agoish (I think? I lost track): It's been a stressful couple of months for the beasties. A couple weeks ago it hit a tipping point and everyone is peeing out side the box every day or two. the laundry is endless. I keep having to change the sofa by myself with my fucked up arm and Squirrel and i had to do my bed twice. it's been about a month since asshole agency sent anyone and things are getting dire just generally.

The foot dragging asshole at the housing authority finally gave in under pressure from social services and her supervisor, so the Millennials can finally move. In punishing July heat instead of March or April as would have been the case if she hadn't outright refused to do her job at every step until directly forced to by her supervisor. there are emails showing specific animus and discrimination against one of my Millennials holding everything up. This cost both Millennials a lot of money and stress they couldn't afford. Move started this week and must be done by month's end.

I am furious, but there is nothing for it.

In other news, I just haven't been getting better. I complete all the day's physio about once a week. Mostly, I rotate them so the ones that get left out are usually different each day. Usually. I think expert post surgical arm guy may have found a fix though. We are trying to do the ones I'm making little progress a new way, and I'm already feeling better. Problem is I can't do them without a partner, which means doing them every day is impossible.

Between last week's adjustments and this week's adjustments, I'm starting to get my posture back. I'm still overworking my pecs, but about half as much as I was. We'll know in a week or two the full effectiveness, but I was starting to suspect I was stuck like this permanently and I have a sliver of hope now.

* 7/26/24: It's been a grueling couple of weeks. I've had to be out in the heat and pollen which is not what I'm supposed to be doing, but moving two people in two weeks is all hands on deck, and I have the largest car. I've been moving lighter things on a dolly from car to stairs over Millennial objections, but it's impossible to do this in the allotted time otherwise.
Three different gentlemen in the new complex saw disabled people trying to move all these things, one of them more than once which is really sweet. The new complex is in a cool part of town with lots of green spaces and shade, is a short walk from groceries and other amenities, and right on one bus route and a short walk to a better bus route.

I am thrashed, and it has impacted my physio, as I'm doing this in lieu of a lot of the exercises on moving days. I still do 1/3rd-1/2 of the physio and I explained the situation to the physio and we are working with it. I genuinely have started making progress again as hoped, even with the limitations imposed by the move.

Friday and Saturday a friend of Techie and Art Millennials was/is lending help and a truck, so most of the Millennials are/have been moving furniture, a thing I can't help with. We did move some small furniture in my car, but things like beds and dressers are too big.

I did bring Goth Millennial home with me Friday evening to eat dinner in the air conditioning and watch our space adventure together. I took them home to the new place to sleep for the first time. (Newest Millennial's bed goes across Saturday.) Odds are, I'll be helping with moving sundries Sunday, and maybe take a small load after they have done move out cleaning, but barring accident, it should all be all right.
